Board Minutes – November 23, 2020

The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, November 23, 2020 at 9:00 am with the following members present: Bobbi Maynes, Scott Akin, Leland Shipley, Doug Birt and Merlin Dixon. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Maynes moved, seconded by Shipley to approve today’s agenda along with the minutes of the November 17th meeting.  All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Shipley moved, seconded by Birt to approve Utility permit #20-19 for RJ’s Plumbing for a 1” service line under 160th Ave just East of Lake Icaria Road. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.   

Malone also updated the board on several other projects around the county. The crew is working on clearing brush. Hull Street. bridge documents have been completed for a February letting. Engineer Malone discussed going to some auctions to purchase a bulldozer. He’s having a hard time finding one and running into the problem of having it sold before he can go look at it. The board said to keep all avenues available.

Shipley moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the MOU with OCIO and Adams County regarding Enhanced Security Services. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Maynes moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the claims as follows. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried

Birt moved, seconded by Maynes to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 am. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.
