Board Minutes – November 17, 2020

The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 9:00 am with the following members present: Bobbi Maynes, Scott Akin, Leland Shipley and Merlin Dixon. Doug Birt was absent. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Maynes moved, seconded by Shipley to approve today’s agenda along with the minutes of the November 10th meeting.  All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Shipley moved, seconded by Dixon to approve Utility permit #20-18 for SIRWA for a 1” service line under 120th Ave. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Maynes moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the 28E Agreement with the DOT for Brine Storage out at Secondary Roads. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Shipley moved, seconded by Maynes to approve the purchase of a 2021 25+5 H&H Deckover Heavy Duty Trailer for $12,030. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Malone also updated the boards on several other projects going on around the county.

After the Governor’s Proclamation on November 16th the board didn’t take any action on a mask mandate for the courthouse. The county will follow the Governor’s order regarding masks and social distancing for all employees of the county and visitors to the courthouse per the Proclamation. 

Dixon moved, seconded by Shipley to accept the Post-Election Audit Report/Auditor Certification presented by Auditor Bissell. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Oral reports were presented by the board members as follows: Dixon – LWD, Nov. 16 via Zoom.

Shipley moved, seconded by Dixon to adjourn the meeting at 10:03 am. All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.
