The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm with the following members present: Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, Doug Birt, Merlin Dixon, and Bobbi Maynes. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and make plans in response to the COVID-19 situation.
Maynes moved, seconded by Birt to close the courthouse and the county facilities to the public starting March 18th, 2020 through March 31th, 2020. Employees will still come to work and visitors would be allowed into the facilities by appointment only. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Birt moved, seconded by Maynes to allow, at department head discretion, their employees to work flexible hours, work from home, and to be able to use any leave time available until March 31st, 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Birt moved, seconded by Dixon to approve all county employees be paid through March 31st, 2020 if there is a state mandatory shut down. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Maynes moved, seconded by Dixon to approve adjourning the meeting at 4:00 pm.
