The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 9:00 am with the following members present: Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, Doug Birt, Bobbi Maynes, and Merlin Dixon. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Maynes. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Akin moved, seconded by Birt to approve today’s agenda and the minutes from January 11, 2021. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Bill Lyddon has contacted contractors for inspecting the courthouse roof for quotes. He has not received any information back. The Hazard Mitigation process has started and on the county website and Facebook page there are surveys for input from the public.
Shipley moved, seconded by Akin to approve Extended COVID-19 Leave from January 1, 2021-March 31, 2021 with flexibility on sick leave usage. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Birt moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the Treasurer’s Semi-Annual Report and Quarterly Investment Report. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Akin moved, seconded by Shipley to approve Doug Birt to the Adams County Conservation Board for a 5-year term ending. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Engineer Travis Malone gave an update on the bridge ratings.
The supervisors took a break for lunch and reconvened for a budget work session.
TIF Project work session was held. Phone conferences were held at 2:00 pm with John Danos from Dorsey-Whitney and at 2:45 with Scott Stevenson with D.A. Davidson.

The next board meeting will be held Monday Jan 25th at 9:00 am. Dixon moved, seconded by Shipley to adjourn the meeting at 3:06 pm. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
