Board Minutes – February 10, 2020

The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 9:00 am with the following members present: Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, Doug Birt, Merlin Dixon, and Bobbi Maynes. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Maynes moved, seconded by Birt to approve the day’s agenda along with the minutes from January 21st, 27th, and February 3rd. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.

There were no public comments.

Engineer Travis Malone shared with the board that the EWP agreements with two projects sites per agreement have been signed.

            Dixon moved, seconded by Birt to approve Resolution 2020-7 Ordinance Chapter 24 – Valuation of Property.  All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.

            Birt moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the quote from Solutions to replace and upgrade the server in the amount of $24,177.95.  All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.

            Birt moved, seconded by Dixon to appoint Travis Malone to LHDCA Board of Directors.  All supervisors voted aye.  Motion carried.

            Birt moved, seconded by Shipley to approve Nancy Turner as Election Deputy in the Auditor’s Office.  Birt, Dixon, Maynes, Shipley voted aye.  Akin abstained.  Motion carried.

            Discussion was held by the board concerning the sale of old railroad bed property owned by the county.  More research will need to be done before any action, if any, will be taken.

            Discussion was held with Bob Jostens of  Dorsey and Whitney concerning future TIF districts in the county.

            Claims were approved as presented.
