    SPECIAL ELECTION
CITY OF CORNING, ADAMS COUNTY, IOWA
MAY 5, 2009
 

        The Adams County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, and performed the Canvass of the Special Corning City Election that was held on Tuesday, May 5.  They found no differences from the results that were turned in at the close of the election.  There was a 17% turnout for this election.

              TOTAL YES VOTES:          164        

               TOTAL NO VOTES:           63
 

       The question on the ballot was as follows:

SHALL THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC MEASURE BE ADOPTED?

Shall the City of Corning, in Adams County, Iowa, enter into a loan agreement and issue General Obligation Notes in an amount not exceeding the amount of not to exceed $200,000 for the purpose of paying the cost, to that extent, of constructing a fire station?
